Become a First Aid and CPR Instructor
Trained instructors of First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) are able to run their own courses, issue course certificates/cards, and share their knowledge and skills with others. Whether you are seeking to train others in your facility or start your own training center/business, this 2-day program will prepare you to run quality courses that fulfill the needs of schools, businesses, camps and other employers.
Day 1 is spent taking the First Aid, CPR and AED classes that you will be able to instruct following the course. Didactic information is presented utilizing the tools available from the publisher, and skills such as CPR, splinting, and patient assessment are practiced and perfected.
Day 2 introduces you to the Emergency Care and Safety Institute (ESCI), though which you attain instructor status, purchase training materials and cards, and register as a trainer. Other topics include class management/instruction, evaluation, manikin decontamination, program scope and sequence, record keeping and other topics relevant to instructors.
